ORANGE

Anyone going to a fancy dress party this summer? This might be what you want to wear then. Love the bright orange and I actually got those sandals in the sales last week (and that was the ONLY thing I bought in the sales/have bought in the last 2 months... boo!).

OUTFIT #3: BEACH OUTFIT

The third and final outfit in my series of 3: BEACH OUTFIT!

So you're on spring/easter holidays or whatever it is they call it in your country and you're ready to go to the beach. The last time you were here was during those last summery days of 2010. You're desperate to show some skin, because maybe you need to get rid of your paler-than-milk complexion you carefully built up during the winter period (don't forget to wear sunscreen!!!) or maybe you just like the feeling of the rays of sun hitting your skin and you want to enjoy it as much as you can. So you wear a short skirt with a matching bikini top, because you can. A pair of cute sunglasses to protect your eyes, a fan you use during the hottest hours of the day, a bag in durable plastic (easy to clean off all the sand you've gathered during the day) and some flats to finish of the look. This morning you hesitated to put some regular espadrilles on instead, but these flats were nicer and you felt like wearing something special.

PUT YOUR SUNGLASSES ON

It is May after all, so why don't we start with putting on our sunglasses, maybe the sun will follow?

From left to right, top to bottom:

Cutler and Gross D-frame acetate sunglasses
Cutler and Gross Round-frame acetate sunglasses
Alexander Wang 4 C3 T-Shell
Moscot Lemtosh in Blonde
SUPER Classic in Puma
SUPER Ciccio in Cheetah

I got myself (no sorry, my mom got me these, ha!) this pair at H&M. I usually don't buy sunglasses at H&M because their quality isn't that great, but these were just too fun. They look a lot like the Lemtosh from Moscot, only cheaper. I'd love to have an original pair of Moscots, but since I still have a pair of Ray Bans, I didn't really need new sunglasses so I decided to buy this cheap-ass pair instead!

PINK VS. BLACK

Make a splash in pink or stick with a LBD? Which one would you prefer...

WANG-A-BANG

There are a lot of Resort shows I want to show you, Marc Jacobs, Thakoon & Burberry will be posted later today!
Let's see: Alexander Wang! I was glad his show had the usual neutral colour palette. I really don't know how he does it though, his pieces look so basic and yet SO effortlessly cool...
I'm not too fond of the shoes though, but then again, I didn't really like his previous shoe designs either ( there, I said it.)

Also: have you heard about stylecaster.com? It's a new website, still in beta-mode and invite only, but luckily I've got a VIP link that will let you register now and try out the site! It's a community where you'll find the latest fashion news & trends, personal shopping advice, etc. Refinery29 called it Facebook, topshop, style.com & a personal shopper rolled into one! So go on and have a look, but beware, the endless contents will keep you busy for hours!

WANG ANYONE?

As with Doo.Ri, I really like the black mixed with a few pastels. Alexander Wang just keeps rising on my appreciation list with every collection he makes! ^-^

BLACK & PASTEL

The title says it all really. What you may have noticed is that most of the collections use soft colours, light pinks and blues, beige, etc.
Here's a little selection from the Alexander Wang collection (WOW! so fresh!) and below that, the Shipley & Halmos collection, each showing looks in classic black (or grey) and pastel colours.
