PROENZA PRETTY

The Proenza Schouler boys sure know how to make a girl look pretty. Besides the fact that it's WAY overpriced for my budget, it's high up on my wishlist right now.

It's neon yellow, silk-chiffon and meant to be worn with a little bit of peek-a-boo. (you know, because if you spend €350 on a simple triangle bra, you'll want people to be able to see it, right?)

OUTFIT #2: A NIGHT OUT

In my series of three, here's outfit number 2: A NIGHT OUT!

A night out starts with a cute dress. It doesn't necessarily have to be an LBD, but let's say tonight you're up for one. With an LBD (Little Black Dress) you wear black shoes, but since you're planning on dancing through the night untill the sun comes up, you choose comfort over height and go for a pair of lovely flat sandals. Add a statement bracelet and a cute bag small enough so that it doesn't bump into anyone next to you on the dancefloor and with a handy shoulder strap so you don't need to hold it in your hands all the time (remember, you need a hand to hold your drink and a hand to hold.. maybe someone special?).

A worthy collection to finish of this list of favourites.
I'd wear the silver suit (top row, right) on a special occasion where all the other girls are wearing LBD's. I'd wear the sweater with the German Shepherd to go grocery shopping. And I'd wear the last 2 outfits, well, just about anywhere. Oh and of course, I'd take that backdropp and wallpaper my room in it. Et voila, I've created the perfect dream world!

DAY 17 - PS1!

I've been a fan of the Proenza Schouler PS1 bag from the moment I laid eyes on it. I love it in every colour & material and every size too. The perfect one would be the Medium sized format though, seen here in a wonderful linen edition.

ANOTHER OUTFIT...

Another day, another dream outfit. Are you feeling the new season creeping up on us? Yes. I feel like surfing, although I don't really know how to surf? So I guess I'll just wear a t-shirt that reminds me of surfing. Well, I WISH I could wear that Proenza Schouler tee! And the skirt reminded me of the spring Proenza Schouler show so I thought it would only be fitting to include it in this outfit (it's actually Diane Von Furstenberg). Simple sandals, sunglasses and voila, you're done!

Proenza Schouler Resort 2010... I really loved this, especially the white dress + blue sleeveless jacket! The necklace & sandals are really nice too.

Proenza Schouler was asked to show their collection at Pitti , Florence - Italy, and they made a video featuring performance artist Kalup Linzy instead of an ordinary runway show. You can watch it on style.com (click on the picture below). The video also featured Liya Kebede & Chloé Sevigny. I honestly didn't like the video though, it's called 'Sampled and left ova', does that say enough? Oh well, the collection was great so I'm not complaining, but please Jack & Lazaro, don't make videos like these anymore, mmkay?

MORE FROM NY

I am a bit disappointed in the latest fashion shows. Don't get me wrong, it's not all bad, but I just hope there will be at least 1 show that blows my mind away. Up untill now that hasn't happened yet.
Ok, so I have a few collections lined up:

Marc by Marc Jacobs: not bad, there are some peaces I really love, but I feel like I've seen it all before...


Next, Doo.ri: I liked this one, I'm glad she kept it simple (except for the tights, but it's still a fashion show, right?^-^)


And finally, Proenza Schouler: I thought their prefall show was amazing (remember?) and maybe I was expecting a bit too much... I liked some of the jackets & pants, but Proenza Schouler, what's up with the bags?? I know, you don't want to give yet another version of the PS1, but I don't like the new handbag. Really really don't. WHAT HAPPENED? =(


I'd love to hear what you all think about the shows. I feel a bit bad about not liking them actually... So tell me, good shows or not?

I'm falling more and more in love with the looks every time I look at them!

Last week I was visiting the Colette website (I go there whenever I'm bored of my itunes library and need some new music, they always have a great selection of new music playing on their website), so I was surprised to see the entire website had undergone a true facelift! (See picture below) It's only a beta version, so they're still working on it but it looks great already! So I thought, well since I'm already here, I might just get a quick look around, no?
So as I was looking around, I stumbled upon the Proenza Schouler bags (aka, PS1) and WOW! I had already seen some of the models and colours on other blogs and websites, but to see them all together, all different shapes and colours! Mmmmm I love them even more now!
I really love the bigger models, they would definitely be great for everyday use, but the coral and yellow one would be so great for spring and summer!
I'm secretly hoping Zara or any other store picks up on them and gets us a cheaper version -well they ARE expensive! prices:see picture below- but on the other hand, I really don't like knock-offs... It's not fair to those who put a lot of effort into it, and to think other people just stole their ideas... No thank you!
So I guess I'll only see myself walking around with one in my dreams ^-^! But everyone has got to have something to dream of right?
Anyway, to those who are feeling lucky, you can buy them on the Colette website, or just click on the link if you want to dream about them like me haha!
