I immediately fell in love with this little accessory shoot Browns did when I saw it on their homepage. The shoot is loosely based on the works of french fashion photagrapher Guy Bourdin. Oh and did I already say I LOVE it?

ON THE WATER

Ok I just wanted to say sorry for not posting as much as usual lately, I'm afraid posts will be scarce for the next few weeks (untill 24th June)... Exams are coming up and I need to *focus*, you know what I mean. I wish everyone who's having exams too the best of luck, fingers crossed for all of us! ^-^

KITSUNÉ x COBRASNAKE

It is the perfect summer song & video!



Why do I love Kitsuné? Two reasons:
First: they make the best cd's, their 'Kitsuné maison' compilations are my favourite ( go to their myspace if you want to get to know more of their music). Second: they make clothes too! Just look at their Printemps-été 2009 collection 'Somebody Somewhere' and you'll know why I love them...

RESORT IN VENICE

Yesterday Karl Lagerfeld showed the new Chanel Resort collection for 2010 in Venice, Italy. The pictures from the show made me wish I was there. A beautifully lit walk along the beach in Venice, just as the sun was setting, does it get any better than that?




Why Venice? Well, Gabrielle Chanel was born under the sign of Leo on the 19th of August in 1883. She collected models of lions for her apartment and the lion became some sort of biographical seal for her. Now you may or may not know, but the lion is also the symbol of the city of Venice, and Chanel loved it there. Seems like a nice hommage of Karl to show the collection there, no?



This was the opening of the show. The bathing suits under these cloaks look amazing... (you can see more of them on style.com)



And instead of wearing masks on sticks as is traditional in Venice, the models wore sunglasses on sticks!
The collection itself didn't really wow me, it was good but not great. My favourite look though is the middle one on the first row.

AUSTRIAN VINTAGE

Yup that's right, Austrian Vintage by Bows & Bandits. I told you about this vintage shop a while ago (well, actually it was back in December ). But since winter is long gone, I thought I'd share a few pieces of their spring-summer collection with you!

Behind Bows & Bandits are Austrian sisters Sophie & Eva, Eva being the photographer of all these great picters and -of course- Sophie being the model!
So if you're in desperate need of a cute vintage dress or skirt or another something something, now you know where to go!

EDIT: I'm currently listening to Michael Jackson - P.Y.T. non-stop, and by non-stop I mean 6 times in a row. Why is that?

WNBS

WNBS stands for Wannabe society, wannabesociety.com that is. I came across this project a week ago (they had an add in I-D magazine) and instantly loved it. Well what is it? I'm not too good at explaining, so I'll let WNBS do the talking:
" Wannabe Society is a concept about what you want to be. With a slight chance that in the meantime you become that! A dilemma that makes the project intriguing and allows you to wear even the spiciest words from WNBS Word Bank."



And how does it work? WNBS has a word bank full of the most crazy/fun/sweet/... words. You can choose one of these words and get it printed on a tee. They also offer good luck charms, badges & a notebook.







So what did I do? I already suggested a word for the word bank, and you can do it too if you join! I also did their survey and look what turned up in the mail this morning, all the way from Ljubljana, Slovenia, as a thank you for doing the survey. Nice things come in silver packages:






I think I might get myself some of their other good luck charms (= the bracelets) if they get some more words up!
