And yes, Scholten & Baijings are indeed the geniuses behind that tablewear collection I raved about a few months ago (here). You only have to check out their website to fall in love with every single thing they've ever designed. From tableware to cars to furniture, seriously, they can do it all. Oh and HAY, don't get me started on them. I mean seriously. They have it all. Cool furniture, cool bed linnens, cool desk accessories. You can't walk into a HAY shop without screaming 'I WANT IT ALL THANK YOU YES PLEASE' (I dare you).

Of course, Scholten & Baijings are no newbies when it comes to working with HAY, they've done countless of designs for them - and they work together SO well. This is what happens when two great teams join forces, it's called syngergy you guys.

Now feast your eyes on these... There's a carafe + water glasses that come with a blue tint, yellow tint or spot of gold on the bottom, a red wine glass with a stroke of pink, a white wine glass with a black grid on the side and lastly a champagne flute with a stripe of gold (what else).

SAINT HEDI

I used to post something Hedi Slimane-related probably once a month, but... it's been a year since I last mentioned him on here (I checked). Shame on me, this is not proper die-hard-hedi-fan behaviour. Still, love you long long long time, Hedi. (and please, let this be a gentle reminder his name is STILL Hedi, not Heidi. The times I've seen his name misspelled is ridiculous).
These are some stills from his Diary, he still updates it all the while working hard on that Yves Saint Laurent collection, needless to say I'm overjoyed. I am the first to admit I like his photographic work better than his fashion-work, which doesn't mean I don't think he's talented by the way -he's absolutely brilliant- it's just not so much for me. THAT being said, he's doing some photography for Saint Laurent as well, please, look at them here.

SCHOLTEN & BAIJINGS

I've been a bit obsessed with this Scholten & Baijings x Arita 1616 tableware ever since I first saw it on Dezeen back in April. That's almost 6 months ago by now, so I think it's about time I presented it to you all.

Let me give you a proper introduction - Scholten & Baijings (of HAY fame) are a Dutch design duo who took on the assignment of Arita 1616 to bring some colour & European vibes into their ceramics. They did wonderfully, creating a set of tableware that looks absolutely perfect. The shapes & colours are based on their extensive research in the Arita archives; pastel blues, yellows & pinks combined with a fiery red and a serene white... The collection feels very modern yet gives a little wink to the Japanese heritage of Arita and is crafted with the extraordinary workmanship & experience of the original Arita ceramics.

In short: this is the best & coolest tableware I've ever seen, the end.

BERLIN PT.1

It took me 3 months, but let me give you a quick look at what my trip to Berlin in july looked like...
Part 1: in which we visit the zoo. (The Berlin zoo is awesome.)

My travel companions in front of our humble abode... We found it through Airbnb and had such a lovely stay. The big chunck of bloody meat on the floor is kind of icky - not that I'm a vegetarian, but still. BUT, this tiger was beautiful, such an elegant creature. I'll give you a list of all fun things to do/visit/... in Berlin at the end of this series, so keep an eye out for that.
