Gesa Hansen grew up in a Scandinavian family of carpenters, designers & architects. With a family like that, it's no wonder she decided to start her own label of furniture, called 'The Hansen Family', combining new design with her family's archive. The result is a series of handmade prototypes in home-grown wood. So far she's designed a desk, containers, a trunk (my favourite!), coffee tables and a sideboard and boy, do they look wonderful! Can I have a room full of these please?

Love, very 50's inspried
Dood I love. This shows exactly that world of furniture does not end in IKEA. Arg how sweet is that treebranch wardrobe interior!
Oh YES, these are brilliant
I usually hate everything made of wood/tree because everything in my house and room is made by wood/tree. (I'm from norway btw) but this is just fantastic.
I think it still looks "ikea" like, hmm
