I'll be back in 5-6 weeks, so see you soon! While I'm away, you'll have plenty of time to visit other blogs, so I've put together a little list of links & things you should check out.
If you need me, I'll still be around on the following channels (oh and pop me in your reader if you want to be notified when I get back to posting!) //TWITTER (recently changed twitter name btw!)//INSTAGRAM (look for 'stefanieloes')//FACEBOOK//TUMBLR (my songs of the day)//SVPPLY//
Happy New Year to all and see you in the new year! X
Tune of the day: CFCF - Raining Patterns. CFCF is kind of brilliant so be sure to check out his album Continent. Big Love is definitely my fave song of the album!
I'm not that big on sequins most of the time, but I do like this type of sequinery (that's not a word, is it?) Keeping it nice and understated for the rest of the outfit, we don't want to over-accessorize if we've got sequins around our neck now do we.
Here's what I'd love to wear right now. Oh yes, an outfit post! I've done some of these in the past (take a look: here, I'm surprised I still love every single one of them!) but this blog definitely needed another one. I haven't got much to add, just this: YES PLEASE!
I realise this may be a little bit of a strange blogpost since it's about a hotel -yes- but read on and you'll understand. I recently came across images from the ACE hotel in NYC and all I can say is: someone PLEASE take me there! There are 4 ACE Hotels, there's one in Portland, Seattle, Palm Springs & New York. The interior design is different in every city, all of them are equally amazing, but it was the one in NYC that caught my eye the most. The rooms look a bit industrial, white walls with some black accents, great furniture (custom or vintage?) and some of the rooms even have exclusive art on the walls! Be sure to check out the video at the end of this post to see one of the artists working his magic on the walls. And if that wasn't enough, you know what's just downstairs? Gee I don't know... Maybe Opening Ceremony's second store in NYC? I.AM.SERIOUS. Can I live there?
And these are pictures from the loft - yes, you can even rent a loft! This looks like my dream appartment. All pictures from ACEhotel.com
Finally, here's Mac Huelster painting the wall in room 1214!
Just over a month ago I showed you some exciting Collabs Opening Ceremony was doing. Well, it's time for the new season and Pendleton has returned! Take a look at the spring Lookbook: I'm not really feeling the vests, but then again, you can't get me excited for vests, ever. (I kind of hate them, they just feel awkward to me- sorry) The rest of it looks pretty good to me!
I have to admit, I secretly really really love Opening Ceremony for their amazing collaborations. Ok not secretly. Why do a collab once in a while when you can do three at the same time:
First: Opening Ceremony x Where the wild things are. I haven't seen the movie, and really, I had never heard of the book unitll I heard about the movie - probably an American thing? Anyway, the collection is very wild & furry (faux if you were wondering).
Oh and yes, there's even a jewellery collection with Pamela Love!
Second: Opening Ceremony x Chloé Sevigny, greatly documented on 90% of all the fashion blogs, I know, I'm teribly late on this but oh well.
I'm loving the whole 'his & hers' theme, though I have to admit, not everything is unisex material.
Third: Opening Ceremony x Pendleton. I wasn't convinced about this collaboration, untill I saw this picture:
