SACRED GEOMETRY

I've written about Elena Gallen before, but let's take a look at her latest collection: Sacred Geometry.

This is a video made in collaboration with Tom Geraedts, setting the tone for the entire collection. It really is a visual feast, be sure to watch it.

On to the collection itself: the new collection is a bit darker than her previous one (which featured a bearded Snowwhite, double-headed Bambi's etc), but features some amazing prints evolving around mathematics, nature & culture.

From left to right: Nautilus Shell Spiral , The Holy Mountain & Fibonacci (you know, the guy from the sequence 1-1-2-3-5-8-13-21-... I could go on forever - this is the nerd in me talking). I really like the Holy Mountain & Fibonacci one!

From left to right: Fractal Cross (Black & White), Mysterium Cosmographicum & PHI (Black & White).

Showpiece of the collection however, is the "Fractal" necklace (made in collaboration with Lucie Saint-Leu). Based on Sierpinski's triangle, the necklace features 18 small triangles interconnected to form one large triangle. This is one necklace you don't want to miss out on, that's for sure.

Isn't it absolutely beautiful?!

Zalig, dat filmpje! Net de openingsscène van een of andere obscure film of zo... Die Holy Mountain t-shirt mag ook gerust de mijne zijn.
