BLOUSON NOIR

Here's something I've been meaning to show you for a while now (actually since March, oops, my bad). It's an editorial from i-D magazine's spring 2010 issue, well, not your average editorial. It's more like a lookbook for Melanie Ward's new label 'Blouson Noir'. Ward has worked with Helmut Lang, Jil Sander & David Sims in the past, she's a stylist, an editor for Harper's Bazaar and a designer. Talk about a busy bee! But I do love what's she's done with her new label, it feels very refreshing to me, you know, just a little bit quirkier than what's going on at the moment. Seriously, how amazing is the 4th look, the one with the red dress/skirt? (Oh and did I mention you can get it at Opening Ceremony... and it's on sale, ha! Prices are still a bit too high for me, but well, I'm just saying.)

If you can still track down a spring 2010 issue of i-D, be sure to read the accompanying interview! I don't know if I've said this on here before, but I really do love i-D magazine, it's probably my favourite magazine at the moment. To me it's the perfect equation between fashion (some of the best editorials around), art, great interviews with up & coming creative minds plus a lot more good reads. It's the only magazine I really read from cover to back. If YOU had to pick 1 favourite magazine, which one would it be?
