PICTURE TIME

So for anyone who asked, here are a few of my pictures (me and my sister just took too many pictures to show them all :p) Most of them are mine but I took a few from my sister too, she just has a much better camera than me so I hope you don't mind sis ^-^

central park 2
Day 1- we landed somewhat in the afternoon, headed to our hotel, freshened up a bit and took a stroll through central park! It's just amazing how big it is, and you don't even feel like your in NY anymore! The day ended really early after dinner because we were all exhausted.

Photobucket
This one was taken in midtown on our way back to the hotel, I'm not sure wich building it is though.

Photobucket
Day 2- a lot to see, but first: 5th avenue! The building on the right is the Cartier shop and on the left is Ferragamo I think. No time to shop just yet, that has to wait a bit!

staten island ferry
Next stop: the Staten island ferry! From the ferry you get a great view of the city's skyline, really impressive. We also passed miss Liberty, check the next picture.
Also on day 2: walking on the Brooklyn Bridge, visiting ground zero, and strolling around in the neighbourhood over there.

statue of liberty
After passing her with the staten island ferry, we took another boat to get to her island. She looks really pretty, but somehow I always thought she was much bigger!

East River
DAY 3- First up was the Empire State building. I know, another building, but you have to admit, the view up there is really great. Lucky for us there weren't that many tourists in NY at the time so we didn't have to wait for hours to get up!

Photobucket
Walking through midtown again... The building on the picture is actually Grand Central Terminal. I have tons of building pictures but I'm not going to show them all, that would be too boring! We visited MoMA in the afternoon, a great museum but it is humongous. But really worth visiting!

m&m
Mr M&M on Times Square (I'm totally addicted to M&M's)

DAY 4- Shopping day, so NO pictures! I can tell you this: We ran all across Manhattan to visit different shops and my sister, my mom and I all found really great stuff. Of course 1 day isn't really enough to see all the shops we wanted to see, but I guess now we have a reason to go back in the future ^-^

Photobucket
DAY 5- We went to the Guggenheim museum, this is me & my camera ^-^,
and this is the picture I was taking:
guggenheim
Of course the building is much more impressive if you're standing in front of it. I was a bit disapointed by the museum itself. Unfortunately, the museum was preparing for a new exhibition and because of that, most of the rooms were closed. They even closed the Kandinsky room! Oh well.

Photobucket
In the afternoon we strolled through various neighbourhoods like Tribeca, Soho, Noho and Little Italy. The picture was taken during our walk but I don't really know what neighbourhood it is exactly. Oh and Spring street in Soho has SOOO many shops! I could have spent another day shopping only in Soho ^-^!

Photobucket
Day 6- Final day! Slowly heading back to the airport... You can see my sister in my sunglasses ^-^ I bought them in NY because they're much cheaper over there, hooray for my piggy bank!!

I hope you enjoyed this, if you have more questions, ask me!

Aw, Stefanie, I'm so glad you had such a good time in NYC! I love your pictures even if I've seen half those places myself, it's not like it ever gets old! And I especially like that last picture with the reflection, so cool!

And thanks for your comment! Oh my gosh Breakbot is ammmmaaazzzing! Aw, I wish Rhapsody would add them, because I'd love to download some of their stuff sometimes! Thanks for introducing them to me, darling! :)

Thank you for all the sweet comments that you've put on my blog !
I see that you speak French ! Wow! It must be difficult to learn French for an English or an American person! French is a so difficult language, and even for me, even if I'm French !
I try to speak English because I love English and American cultures! And I'd love to live in America! I try to put the translations of my posts on my blog, so I don't know if it's always correct !
Anyway, I hope you had a great time in NYC ! I went there during one month this summer, and it was amazing, especially for sightseeing and shopping !
Hugs from France,

Funky-Fifi.
